Negotiations Update 3/8/2026

After a long final day of bargaining, we finished our local negotiations with
Weyerhaeuser Cottage Grove Friday Night. The Local Committee really worked well to
fight off some big takeaways that the company proposed. No mandatory overtime. No
takeaways of bids. And improving on some local contractual language. The outcome is not everything we wanted but is something we feel comfortable bring to the membership. We are now in the process of reviewing these tentative proposals to ensure that they are what we talked about and accepted at the bargaining table.
That is how this bargaining process goes. We pass our members' issues across to the
company. They pass their wants to us. And something different comes out of it. All of
those “TA’s” or tentative agreements are just that – tentative. All subject to your, our
memberships’ approval. The plan is that we will be voting on all of our agreements or
final proposals toward the end of May, prior to the expiration of our contract. We vote on
all proposals all at once; All for one, and one for all.
Round one is completed. Please be sure to stay involved and attend your Local
meetings. We will be posting more updates as we go along.
This is our fight for our future.
Your Negotiation Committee
