Update 4/12/26

Members,

We had a very successful first week of our Strike Authorization vote this past Thursday (and Friday) with close to every member participating. You should all be proud of your solidarity and support for each other, in this "first official step" in the process toward a more successful negotiation. One more day to go for this Vote - This Thursday, April 16th, for W536 and W246! We will be counting the votes at District W24 on Friday morning.

We are planning on posting the Tentative Agreements or Final Proposals from our Local Bargains this week. We feel it is important for our members to be informed and have a clearer understanding of how the bargaining process is progressing. This information will cover our four sawmills and our timberlands and yards' local negotiations.

It is important to stress that these are tentative agreements. All of this is subject to change as negotiations progress. And you will be voting on the Whole Final Proposal in May. Please use this information to further your understanding, help make better decisions, and start the conversation with your brothers and sisters about how bargaining is going and what our next steps might be.

We are in the midst of a process that will have a big impact on what your work life is going to look like for the near future and beyond. And this is not a time that your negotiations committee or you should take lightly. There are over 1000 of our members who will be impacted. And just as importantly, over a 1000 of our members will have the final say in this negotiation. This is a power that only Union Members have, and it is a power that we wield with great pride and respect. Let's continue to stand together and stand strong to get what we need and deserve.
